The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is advising motorists traveling southbound on PA I-476, approaching the Mahoning Valley Interchange (Exit #74) to be prepared for intermittent lane closures to be in effect starting tonight, Monday July 13 at 7 p.m. and ending Friday July 17 at noon for temporary concrete barrier placement to implement a new traffic pattern. This pattern will be southbound only.

The contractor on the Lehigh River and Pohopoco Creek Bridge Project will remove the existing median barrier, and reconstruct the median prior to shifting the southbound lanes to the right side of the highway. I-476 traffic will remain in this pattern for one to two years. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather and subject to change.
