Lehigh County - Linden St Bridge in Allentown closed |

The Linden Street Bridge will be closed to traffic on Monday, April 14, 2008 for repairs by Lehigh County.
Plans call for the bridge reconstruction project to be completed by the fall of 2009. Drivers will detour around the bridge which stretches between American Parkway and 4th Street. Currently, the Linden Street Bridge is weight- and lane-restricted due to extensive deterioration. One of many Pennsylvania structures long overdue for repairs, the Bridge will be replaced under a plan by Lehigh County Executive, Donald T. Cunningham, Jr. As part of his commitment to improving the County’s infrastructure, Cunningham is investing $10.5 million in revitalizing local crumbling bridges. |
