Motorists can expect a single lane traffic pattern in each direction until the end of this bridge rehabilitation project.

Work includes patching and overlaying the bridge deck, replacing expansion joints and installing a new mountable median.

The project began on September 17, 2007 and is expected to be completed by the end of July.  The Veterans Memorial Bridge was constructed in 1960 and rehabilitated in 1976. It is a 398 feet long and 68 feet wide, three -span, Steel Girder bridge. Business Route 209 (Main Street) has an average daily traffic of 13,791 vehicles.
