You'll truly be amazed by The Seven Tubs Nature Area in Luzerne County. Get a close-up view of seven large "potholes," or "tubs," gouged out of the Pocono formation by Wheelbarrow Run. Geologists believe they were formed more than 10,000 years ago.
Learn about the fascinating life of a butterfly, even hold one in your hand, at the Bear Mountain Butterfly Sanctuary and Community Arts Center in Carbon County. The sanctuary is open to the general public Friday through Sunday. Reservations are required for group programs held on weekdays.
