On the grounds of the Horticultural Center in the West Philadelphia section of Fairmount Park, the Japanese House and Garden is a site for sore eyes. The house was given to the city and reassembled at its current site in 1958. You can stroll through a picturesque garden on a flat stepping-stone pathway. CLICK HERE for more information.
Bill's Old Bike Barn in Bloomsburg holds a unique collection of vintage motorcycles and American memorabilia. There's plenty to see in this floor to 16-foot ceiling display located just above Bill's shop. CLICK HERE for hours of operation and information.
The Indian Steps Museum in York County says it offers "a spiritual museum experience for the entire family." The museum says it's here to honor the spirit of Indian groups with its preservation of artifacts. CLICK HERE for more information. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
The whole family will enjoy the 200-year-old Rocky Acre Farm Bed & Breakfast. Kids can ride a miniature horse, take an old-fashioned hayride, gather fresh eggs from the henhouse, milk a cow, or feed a newborn calf. Of course, you'll partake of a breakfast fit for a king.
You'll truly be amazed by The Seven Tubs Nature Area in Luzerne County. Get a close-up view of seven large "potholes," or "tubs," gouged out of the Pocono formation by Wheelbarrow Run. Geologists believe they were formed more than 10,000 years ago.
