Veterans' Personal Data Stolen PDF Print
valogo.gifThe Department of Veterans Affairs has announced that electronic data containing identifying information (names, social security numbers, and dates of birth) of up to 26.5 million veterans and some spouses has been stolen from the home of a VA employee. Officials say the data did not include any of the VA's electronic health records nor any financial information. The VA has set up a manned call center that veterans may call to get information about this situation and to learn more about consumer identity protections. The toll-free number is 1-800-FED-INFO (333-4636). The call center will operate from 8AM until 9PM (EDT) Monday through Saturday for as long as it is needed. Operation Support PDF Print
Operation Support is accepting donations to improve the helmet safety of U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.  It takes $100 to upgrade helmets by providing shock-absorbing pads and a new strap system offering better protection from concussion-causing blasts.  The equipment is purchased through Operation Helmet.

Cross Country Horse Ride for Charity PDF Print
Mark Soper of Quakertown is attempting to ride his quarter horse from Quakertown to California to raise money to combat two serious medical conditions.   Mark has two friends who are afflicted with Cystic Fibrosis and Fibromyalgia.    He is raising funds for the National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the American Fibromyalgia Syndrome Association.  CLICK HERE for more information.
