Fred Tamarri

Fred Tamarri has been the Assignment
Editor for the Berks Edition since November 2007. He's responsible for
dispatching crews to breaking news and keeping track of scheduled events
for the Berks newsroom.
Fred was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and has lived
in Berks County on and off since 1997 when he came to work for Berks
Community Television. He began his television career as a Media Editor
for NY1 News, Time-Warner's 24 - hour news station in New York City,
just after 9/11 and worked there until the beginning of the Iraq War.
After living in various parts of the country and even a brief two year
stint in Japan, Fred says that Berks County is his favorite because of
all of the wonderful people he's met in the community.
Fred says his job satisfaction comes from finding compelling stories and
he's always interested in hearing about events going on in the

In Fred's leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family and
friends, and also enjoys watching films and reading.
