Jamasyn Hyde
Assignment Manager

Jamasyn has been working on the Assignment Desk at WFMZ since 2003, and was named Assignment Manager in the fall of 2007. Jamasyn's responsibilities center around coordinating the newsgathering efforts of the desk while still maintaining her role as Planning Editor.

Jamasyn was born and raised just to the north of the Lehigh Valley in the Pocono Mountains, and attended East Stroudsburg University. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Media Communication and Technology in 2003, but she began her broadcasting career as an intern at Blue Ridge Communications- TV 13 in 1999. From there, she moved on to radio, working for Nassau Broadcasting's WSBG/WVPO in Stroudsburg as an on-air news personality. Then, in 2003, after a summer internship with 69 News, Jamasyn was hired as a full-time Assignment Editor.

In her spare time, Jamasyn can be found spending time with her husband, Rik, at their Fountain Hill home or at the gym. She also makes frequent trips to the Pocono Region to visit friends and family.
