Melissa
Fullerton joined the Berks Edition team in 2006. You can see her
weeknights at 5:30 and 10:30. You can also catch her reporting 69 News
Headlines weekday mornings on Y102 and True Oldies 1340 in Berks County.
Before coming to Berks, Melissa spent a year and a half reporting for
the ABC affiliate in Elmira, New York. Prior to that she was an
associate producer for WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, PA and a radio news anchor
and reporter for WCCS in her hometown of Indiana, PA. Melissa graduated
cum laude from Westminster College with a degree in broadcast
communications.
Melissa loves reporting and writing and is always looking for the next
attention-grabbing story. Her favorite part of the job is getting to
meet people. Here in Berks County, she says she loves how viewers are
always willing to say hello or stop and talk (especially the ones that
cheer for the Pittsburgh Steelers!) Whether it's through email or seeing
people out and about, Melissa says she loves chatting it up with folks
in the area and hearing what they think would make for a good story.
Outside of work, Melissa is a member of the advisory board for Aaron's Acres. You can also find her at
the gym, at home trying to be a good cook, spending precious phone time
with friends and her parents, Margie and Jerry, or taking her basset
hound, Molly, for walks.
Melissa, her husband, and Molly all live in Berks County.
She loves hearing from viewers. So, if you
have a story idea or just want to say hi, you can email her at
mfullerton@wfmz.com.
